We are excited to announce the launch of our new project, RE-GreenVOCs. This initiative, co-funded by the Research and Innovation Foundation in Cyprus, aims to create a comprehensive solution for producing high-quality biochar from woody waste using pyrolysis. The resulting biochar can be used in agriculture to reduce VOC emissions from manure, improving air quality and helping municipalities enhance their environmental footprint and quality of life.
The 2-year project is a collaboration between CyRIC (HO), the University of Cyprus (PA1), the Open University of Cyprus (PA2), and the South Nicosia-Idalion Municipality (PA3). It aims to advance scientific knowledge through innovations in biochar production, biomass pyrolysis, and the use of smart and robotic systems.
