Earlier this month, the AEOLUS Month 9 General Meeting was held at CyRIC’s new premises, marking an important checkpoint in the progress of the project.

As part of the PhD in Industry program funded by the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF), AEOLUS is on a mission to rethink object detection for low-power unmanned surveillance in smart cities, blending high-performance AI with efficiency and scale.

The general meeting brought together the teams from Cyprus Research & Innovation Centre (CyRIC) and European University Cyprus (EUC) for focused reflections on technical progress, milestone tracking, and collaborative planning. Significant milestones have been achieved, and the project trajectory continues to demonstrate strong potential and momentum.

From data‑driven technical analysis to strategic planning for publication and dissemination, the progress achieved to date highlights both the maturity of the work and the opportunities that lie ahead.

The AEOLUS project continues to move forward with increased momentum, with Researcher’s Night identified as an upcoming dissemination milestone and a broader communication strategy already underway. The project remains committed to pushing the boundaries of efficient, AI‑powered surveillance for smarter urban environments.
